Featured Jay's Camaro - Imperial Taste
This car is very unique. It is on my top list of cars here in the site. And it has nothing to do with the fact that my car is the same color. Just take a quick look at it in the Featured Gallery. There is a combination of aftermarket parts that you have not seen together in any other Camaro and it works. The car is well balanced as far as appearance goes. What we got here is a Camaro unlike any other. And that's what this is all about. Grabbing a blank canvas and making it your own. There aren't many Imperial Blue Metallic Camaro's and with that even less that have been modded as nice as this one. So, here is what Jay has to say about his car:
 1. How does the Camaro compare to your previous cars? It's much better my previous cars. I've had nothing but four-cylinder imports and economy cars - a stock Camaro was mind blowing in comparison. I picked up my Camaro with a supercharger already installed and added long-tube headers and a true 3" exhaust for good measure. The difference in ride, interior, power - basically everything - is just night and day. 2. Talking about what's important here, what feel/look where you going for on your Camaro? I'm a huge fan of "less is more." I created a checklist of both "Show" and "Go" components that aren't over the top. My goal was to maintain a refined, classy look while enhancing aggressive styling. There are a bunch of surprises, like a fade from the carbon fiber's clear coat to the stock Imperial Blue Metallic on the underside of the spoiler trunk lid. No one really sees it unless you're up close and paying attention. The hood only increases the cowl height by about 3/4" and the trunk's one piece spoiler gives the car a stealthy look to it. The drop on the coilovers with black wheels and tinted side markers rounds out the "stealth" look at well. 3. How did you approach the cosmetic modifications? Was it carefully planned? Or if you saw something you like you got it? My first mods were the carbon fiber hood and trunk and the custom, faded paint job that created a carbon fiber stripe. That was the only pre-planned mod - the emblem, sidemarkers, afterburner taillights and quad tip diffuser were all impulse buys because I liked the look of them. The ZR1 monoblock 22" wheels where sponsored because USW was looking for a camaro to debut the wheels on at SEMA. 4. Anything you regret doing? Nope, I'm loving it! 5. what do you think was the best cosmetic mod done? That's a tough one. The current wheels, hood and sidemarkers get a ton of compliments but I like my door projectors the best. They definitely turn heads when I pull up at night and open the door. 6. What are your plans for the future? Well, after . I'm hoping to do one last major modification - my wife really wants me to get vented fenders. 7. Talking about performance, what have you done and do you have a goal? My goal was to have a 500 rwhp Camaro that was comfortable to ride in and retained a 25 mpg rating - something that I can track on a road course a couple times a year. I was getting 28 mpg and 495 rwhp with just the Procharger. I finally installed the long tubes that were sitting in our living room for almost a full year. The long tubes, 3" prototype exhaust from Flowmaster and pulley swap put me at about 550 rwhp. The car has more than enough torque to roast the 315's on the back and I don't plan on doing any super-competitive racing. It's a hell of a lot of fun on the highway though. For track performance, I wanted to beef up the rigidity of the car around the corners, so coilovers and sways were a must. I looked to Pedders for their xA coilovers and LSR Performance for the heavy duty sway bars. Both items are fully adjustable. I will be putting Pfadt Racing adjustable end links on my car in the next few days.
So, here is a nice long list of the mods:
Hoods: RK Sport Ram Air hood with carbon fiber blister Spoiler/Trunks: Seibon Carbon ST style carbon fiber trunk lid Wheels: USW Forged "Proto" 22x9.5, 22x11 Drop: .75" on Pedders Xa coilovers Lighting: AAC Oracle DRL/sidemarkers/footwell/dome/trunk lights, custom door projectors, full dash ambient lighting, True afterburner taillights Badges/Stickers: Custom "supercharged LS3" badge Paint Jobs/Wraps: Stock Imperial Blue Metallic, with gloss black to clear single stripe (hood/trunk) revealing carbon fiber beneath, clear to Imperial Blue Metallic on the underside of the spoiler, black painted front bowtie Body Modifications: Custom, hand-made quad tip diffuser Interior: DSV Customs leather/carbon fiber steering wheel Engine Bay: Signatures by John Fitzpatrick (Camaro Marketing Manager), Cheryl Pilcher (Camaro Product Manager), Scott Settlemire (Fbodfather), Adam Barry (Camaro Senior Designer), Al Oppenheiser (Camaro Chief Engineer), Jack Pantaleo (Camaro Brand Quality Manager) Other: Procharger P1SC-1 Supercharger, Stainless Works longtube headers (2" primaries, 3" collecters), Flowmaster Hushpower one-off 3" mandrel bent catback exhaust, LSR Performance 3-way adjustable sway bars, PFADT racing end links.
His car will be in the front cover of Camaro Now magazine. So look for it! And, if you think your 5th Gen Camaro deserves to be on this site. Or if you know of a friend that does feel free to email us at info@camarostyleguide.com
Featured Orlando's Camaro - This is how you do it.
I've had my eyes on this 2010 Camaro for a few months now. Last year I attended the 1st South Florida 5th Gen Meeting. It was held at Torq up in Miramar. The car stood out from the rest and I knew I had to get that beast onto the site. I took some photos of the car that day but without proper lighting I couldn't get what I really wanted. So, I spoke with Orlando and we decided that we would be doing it early this year. This is where being a professional automobile photographer based in Miami helps. Actually, there is a good and a bad side. Good because I knew I was going to photograph every little detail like I wanted but also bad because, as a car photographer once you have a vision in your head, it's like a chihuahua bitting your ankle until you get it done. Regardless, in the end you win. As you can see some nice photos of this beast. So, here we are... early this year. Check this thing out... I have to be honest here but that's exactly what I would like my 2010 Camaro to look like once I am done. Well, I do have another hood in mind, and my SS is a different color. But, damn it all works together. This is also the 1st time I saw the Havoc Rear Diffuser in person. I have to say that the fit and finish on it are on par with OEM. Actually, why didn't the SS come with that rear diffuser from factory? Out of all the different hoods for the 2010 Camaro. I believe this one is one of the nicest. Well, I am not going to bore you here with my blah blah blah. Here are some quick questions and answers from the owner. 1. How does the Camaro compare to your previous cars? I've always owned cars that are known for their performance and style. In comparison to my previously owned cars, the camaro is my first experience with a true muscle car with powerful horsepower and appealing old school exterior design.
2. Coming from the import world, how do you find the domestic community? In my experience, I don't find that there are too many differences between the import versus domestic cars. GM production facilities have received many awards with regards to the quality of their vehicles. I am extremely satisfied with the build quality and larger engine.
3. Talking about what's important here, what feel/look where you going for on your Camaro? Well feel/look wise i wanted an aggressive look, a car that you would see coming down the street and say "that car looks fast". but at the same time, i wanted a look that if id go out somewhere nice, the valet would want to leave the car right in the front. so i would say, aggressive and classy.
4. How did you approach the cosmetic modifications? Was it carefully planned? Or if you saw something you like you got it? Regarding the the mods, i shopped many sites, look at thousands of camaro pics and spent countless hours on photo shop mixing and matching potential parts that interested me. once i got the look, it was time to empty the bank account.
5. Anything you regret doing?
Not getting my camaro sooner.
6. what do you think was the best cosmetic mod done?
By far my favorite mod done is the rear valance from havoc
7. What are your plans for the future?
Future plans include a super charger, hopefully sooner than later, i'm changing the front bumper, and changing the color scheme on the rims.
8. Talking about performance, what have you done and do you have a goal?
Performance wise, i went with the borla s-type cat back exhaust, cook headers, air raid intake, and had it tuned by the guys at Torq down in miramar florida.

Featured Andrew's Camaro - New muscle for a new generation
Andrew said it, I just had to use it. "New muscle for a new generation". I like when the owners that I feature here make my life easier. Anyway, I'd like to show you this Camaro. It's unique and all the elements work together really well. I won't hold you up with nonsense talk. Here is a preview of it. See those wheels? Yeah, the 22 inch Jet 5's that he has on it. If you were to bolt these wheels on a stock Camaro and call it done it probably woundn't look right. Don't even think about getting those ground effects by Razzi without having the right set of wheels to compliment it. You see? It all has to work in perfect harmony. Andrew knew how to do it. Andrew has put it all together very nicely. I have to be honest, if I saw some of those aftermaket components just sitting there by themselves I would have passed on them. Together... they just WORK. I know why you are here. The photos! Jump over to the Featured Gallery. We asked Andrew a few questions: What feel/look where you going for?I wanted to stay away from trying to make it look like an old school Camaro I wanted it to be modern with lots of power and look fast sitting still but not dissapoint when it's fired up!! New muscle for a new generation trying to let it stand alone with little or no comparsion to any car before it!!! How did you approach the cosmetic modifications? Was it carefully planned? Or if you saw something you liked and you got it?I knew the look I was trying to achive so when I seen the parts that I thought went nicely together I got with Gary at Garys Customs and we made it work and for now I'm happy how it looks!! Anything you regret doing? Not having my Camaro ready for this years SEMA show ran out of funds still have a house and business to run so sometimes the Camaro is on the back burner. 4) What do you think was the best cosmetic mod done?I love my lighting but the new hood that is on the way and my new wheels that are coming are going to take the cake when it comes to my cosmetic mods. What are your plans for the future?Full interior, stereo, gill replacement and more motor work should be done for show season next year. What Performance mods have you done? ARH Longtubes with highflow catts, Borla S-Type axle back, Roto-Fab intake, Jet mass air sensor, Magna-Charger with a 3.6 pully, Jannetty Racing Street Brawler Tune 500rwhp and 500rwtq dyno tuned by Ted Jannetty on a Saturday witch I can't say enough about!!! Here is a extensive look at everything that has been done to the car. Hoods: Unrestrictedmotorsports/Coming soon a one off from MPD and Garys Customs Grills: E&G Classic Fine Mesh/Working with ShowStoppers to do something next year Spoiler/Trunks: MPD Dovetail graffting that into the trunk shortly Ground FX: Full Razzi Bodykit Wheels: 22in Jet 5's from Prowheels coming soon 20in MB2's from D2forged Drop: KW Varaints coilovers about a 1.5in drop from stock Lighting: AAC Thanks to Justin,Andy, and Jonathan Showstoppers led side mirrors Thanks Peter Badges/Stickers: Billet Bowties Interior: Carbonfiber door panels and dash inserts a few painted parts to match Engine Bay:Showstoppers and Camaro Chrome L99 and Roto-Fab coil covers and CAI Last but not least Andrew would like to say something to a few of you: "I would also like to thank: Mark form ZZmotorsports, Gary from Garys Customs ,Nineball aka Tony from Deviate Motoring, Ted Jannetty from Jannetty Racing, Peter from Showstoppers, Justin, Andy and Jonathan from AAC, Adam Keim from Paul & Tonys Stereo, Jim Bowers Upholstery, Adam & the guys from Performance Auto Body & Towing, Dave from Dagwoods Detailing, Stephfen & Derrick at D2forged Wheels, Eric fom MPD,and of course Jonathan from camarostyleguide.com!!!!!! If I've forgotten anyone that has helped me along the way I apolgize thank you all so much!!!!!!" Anyway, I hope this gives you incentive to do something unique. To dare to try stuff no one else has. If your 2010 or 2011 Camaro looks sharp make sure to email me and let me know.
Featured Pete's Camaro - Style follows function.
Pete's Camaro was built with one thing in mind: Performance. On this car, styling was dictated and took a back seat in order to get the car to it's up most potential when it comes to handling but regarless of that, this car is one of the nicest purpose built Camaros I have seen to date. Some of you might recognize the car. More photos of the car at the featured gallery. I contacted Pete to let us know a bit more about the car. Here is what he had to say.
What feel/look where you going for? In your face American Muscle. We wanted people to look in the mirror and say to themselves: I think I should get out of the way. We wanted a pure Bad Axx power look for the Pedders USA Camaro.
How did you approach the cosmetic modifications? Was it carefully planned? Or if you saw something you like you got it? The look was secondary to the performance. Everything on the car is designed to make the Camaro more stable, more predictable and faster. It is a purpose built machine to eat road courses and perform like a race car with luxury car amenities. The hood ducts cold air to the location of the ProCharger air filter. The front spoiler ducts are for brake cooling. The interior and exterior paint accents are intended to reinforce the performance. The black roof section helps to visually lower the car. Shaving the door handles makes it sleeker and cleaner. Painting the rear lower fascia and adding black accents to the taillights add tension to the gorgeous OEM sheet metal. The wheels were a no brainer. We wanted to run Bridgestone RE-11 tires for optimal performance. Forgeline makes racing wheels that are strong and light. All we had to do with wheels were select the colors. Once again we wanted to be in your face so we went with custom powder coat color matched to the Victory Red paint.
Anything you regret doing? No regrets. The Camaro came out as close to perfect as possible in look and performance.
What do you think was the best cosmetic mod done? Lowering. Most of what we have done would look good at OE height, but not be anywhere near as strong as it does lowered. Our Camaro is as low as it can be and still get down the street, but even the ride heights were dictated by function. The ride heights are a direct result of corner weighting.
What are your plans for the future? We are working with ACS to further reduce under hood temperatures. My guess is you will see a new hood on our Pedders USA Camaro and maybe a new front fascia with greater air flow. With all of that said here is what it took to get the car looking like that. Hood: Nickey Chicago Stinger II hood Spoiler: Rear spoiler was shaved. Ground FX: ACS front spoiler. Wheels: WC3R Forgeline wheels have custom Victory Red barrels inside and out. Drop: Full Pedders Suspension. Paint: The roof was painted Gloss Black along with the mirror caps. The rear lower fascia was sanded smooth and painted Victory Red with a Gloss Black accent stripe. The taillights were accented with Gloss Black. The front fascia was detailed with Gloss Black accents. Interior: Interior panels painted body color including the dash trim. Engine Bay: Plastic under hood pieces have been sanded, primed and painted gloss black. The metal cover around the hood latch has been painted gloss black. The engine cover was sanded smooth and painted Victory red and Gloss Black. Other: Door handles were shaved.
Our main focus on this site is the styling but we are not just about that. Here you will find an amazing guide to what was done to this car performance wise. A MUST read to anyone looking to take their Camaro to the next level. This is a full write up the Pete created over at Camaroz28.com .

Welcome
We all know that the 5th Gen Camaro is one of the hottest cars in the market. I don't need to tell you that thought. You are here because you know it. What I can tell you is what this site is all about. This site is not selling anything, you won't find prices. This is merely a visual guide for all the cosmetic and or exterior mods that can be done for the 2010 Camaro. I currently own a 2010 Camaro SS and I have done nothing to it. That car you see to your right. And maybe you seen that photo before. That's because I have this website http://www.camerephotography.com as well. That's my other passion, my photography. I do automobile photography in the Miami area.
Anyway, since my car is now a blank canvas. I had had to create this website to guide myself and anyone else with a 5th Generation Camaro. To see what the aftermarket has to offer to us. See all your options for spoilers in one place. All the hoods in one place to make your modification experience that much more enjoyable. So, make sure to come back often as new photos will be added frecuently. Come check out the featured Camaros. And help us keep this site going by visiting the sponsors that make this site possible. Thanks for reading and I hope this site helps you make your Camaro your own. Enjoy!
